Lucia Billeci

Lucia Billeci was born in Pisa, Italy, in 1982. She received the B.S. and M.S. degrees in biomedical engineering and the Ph.D. degree in automatics, robotics, and bioengineering from the University of Pisa, Pisa, in 2004, 2007, and 2011, respectively. Since 2011, she has been a Post-Doctoral Research Fellow with the Institute of Clinical Physiology, National Research Council of Italy, Rome, Italy. She has authored 30 articles, and over 40 abstracts in proceedings. The main focus of her research is the investigation of the neurobiological and physiological aspects of neurodevelopmental disorders such as autism spectrum disorder. Her current research interests include biomedical image and signal processing, including magnetic resonance image analysis, electroencephalography, eye-tracking data, autonomic nervous system signals, and application of wearable solutions for the noninvasive monitoring of health and disease. Dr. Billeci was a recipient of the Computer in Cardiology/PhysioNet Challenge 2013 “Noninvasive Fetal ECG.”
