Layth al tmimi

Dr. Layth Al tmimi (° 1973) graduated in June 1997 from the College of Medicine University Of Baghdad, Iraq. From 2001 to 2006, he specialized in anesthesia at the University Hospitals of KU Leuven. After a two-year fellowship in cardiac anesthesia at the University Hospital of Leuven, he became a consultant anesthesiologist at this institution. His interest lies mainly in cardiovascular and thoracic anesthesia, specifically focusing on anesthesia for congenital cardiac surgery. In December 2012, he started a Ph.D. project at the KU Leuven, addressing xenon-anesthesia use in patients at high risk for postoperative organ dysfunction. Dr. Al tmimi received his Ph.D. in biomedical sciences from the Katholieke Universiteit Leuven on the 12th of November 2018.
