Kyunghoon Kim

Kyunghoon Kim received the B.S. and M.S. degrees in electrical engineering from Korea University, Seoul, South Korea, in 2000 and 2002, respectively, and the Ph.D. degree in electrical engineering from Seoul National University, Seoul, in 2018. In 2002, he joined the Design Department, SK Hynix Semiconductor, Inc., Icheon, South Korea, developing and leading the design dynamic random access memory (DRAM). His research interests include high-speed clocking circuits, latency controllers, IO, signal integrity/power integrity (SI/PI), and their design methodology. While leading the design team of GDDR6, he built the SI/PI-based budgeting system with XMODEL for GDDR6. He was recognized for his achievements in memory semiconductor inventions and received an order of industrial service merit (medal of the stone medal) on the 54th day of invention.
