Kristopher Klein is an Assistant Professor at the Lunar and Planetary Laboratory at the University of Arizona. His research interests include kinetic and non-equilibrium plasma physics relevant to nearly collisionless systems such as the solar wind., and the related problems of understanding the heating and acceleration of the solar corona. His most recent publication is 'Majority of Solar Wind Intervals Support Ion-Driven Instabilities', which showed that more than half of a representative sample of solar wind spectra were susceptible to drift and/or temperature anisotropy instabilities.
