Lee Kounseok

Kounseok Lee received the degree from the College of Medicine, Hanyang University, Seoul, South Korea, in 2005, the M.D. degree from Hanyang University Medical Center, and the Ph.D. degree in psychiatry from Hanyang University. He is currently a Clinical Assistant Professor with Hanyang University Medical Center. He is also a Research Assistant Professor with Hanyang University, where he completed a residency in psychiatry. He obtained membership in the Korean Board of Psychiatry, in 2010. He completed a bipolar disorder and schizophrenia fellowship at Samsung Medical Center between 2013 and 2015. He and his collaborators are developing detection methods to investigate the risk factors for suicide and mood disorders. The goal of his work is to develop a clearer understanding of suicide and develop treatments.
