Kongqiao Wang received the Ph.D. degree in signal and information processing from the University of Science and Technology of China, Hefei, China, in 1999. He has been with Nokia Research Center, Beijing, China, where he is currently with the Media Technologies Laboratory and leads the research team focusing on imaging and gestural interactions. He has received around 65 granted/pending family patents, published five book chapters, and over 60 scientific papers. His current research interests include visual computing technologies, hand gesture recognition, and related user interactions.
