个人简介
My Ph.D work led to understanding of regulatory mechanism leading to loss of synaptic inhibition in Supraoptic Vasopressin neurons during various homeostatic challenges such as high salt loading, water deprivation and liver failure. My current postdoctoral research is focused on understanding Angiotensin type 1a receptor (AT1aR) mediated signaling mechanisms in subset of Agouti-related peptide (AgRP) neurons that control resting metabolic rate without affecting blood pressure. I am highly passionate and excited to work in Neurophysiology of hypertension. I desire to ultimately direct a laboratory in academia contributing to current knowledge.
