Dr. Cheung obtained his Bachelor Degree in Biotechnology from The Hong Kong Polytechnic University in 1999. After completed his PhD in the Department of Physiology at The Chinese University of Hong Kong in 2004, he pursued his postdoctoral training in electrophysiology and calcium signaling at The University of Pennsylvania (Philadelphia, PA, USA) under the supervision of Prof. Kevin Foskett (2004-2010). His research work has been published in several top-ranked journals including Neuron, Cell and Science Signaling. In 2010, He took up his Assistant Professor position at the Department of Physiology, The University of Hong Kong and moved to the Hong Kong Baptist University, School of Chinese Medicine as an Associate Professor in 2017.
