Kevin J. Reilly

Kevin Reilly received the B.S. degree in nanoscale engineering from the College of Nanoscale Science and Engineering (CNSE), SUNY Polytechnic. He is currently pursuing the Ph.D. degree with the Nanoscience and Microsystems Engineering Program, The University of New Mexico. His research interests include nanophotonics, optoelectronics and semiconductor lasers with technical expertise in electron beam lithography, molecular beam epitaxy, and standard cleanroom processing/characterization of silicon and III-V semiconductor devices. Attracted by the capabilities at The Center for Integrated Nanotechnologies (CINT), Sandia National Laboratories, he moved to New Mexico in 2016 to begin his Ph.D. under the mentorship of Dr. Ganesh Balakrishnan. His thesis research is focused on the development of different fabrication methods for photonic crystal surface emitting lasers (PCSELs).
