Kenta Matsumura

Kenta Matsumura (Member, IEEE) was born in Nerima, Tokyo, Japan, in 1974. He received the B.A. degree in psychology for well-being from Hokusei Gakuen University, Sapporo, Japan, in 2002, and the M.A. and Ph.D. degrees in human sciences from Hokkaido University, Sapporo, Japan, in 2004 and 2007, respectively. From 2006 to 2008, he was a Research Fellow with the Japan Society of the Promotion of Science. From 2008 to 2011, he was a Research Fellow with the National Institute of Neurology and Psychiatry, Tokyo. From 2011 to 2014, he was a Postdoctoral Fellow with Kanazawa University, Kanazawa, Japan. From 2014 to 2017, he was a Research Fellow with Hokkaido University, Sapporo, Japan. In 2017, he was a Research Fellow with the Fukuoka Institute of Technology, Fukuoka, Japan. Since 2018, he has been a Research Assistant Professor with the Faculty of Medicine, University of Toyama. He is the author of more than 50 articles. His current research interests include cardiovascular psychophysiology, biomedical engineering, mobile health, post-traumatic stress disorder, postpartum depression, and causal inference in statistics. He is an Academic Editor of journal PLOS One. Dr. Matsumura is a member of the American Psychosomatic Society, the Japanese Society for Psychology, and the Japanese Society for Hygiene.
