Kenneth T Shelton

Dr. Kenneth Shelton is a critical care physician and cardiac anesthesiologist at Harvard Medical School and Massachusetts General Hospital (MGH). Dr. Shelton currently serves as Chief of the Critical Care Division in the Department of Anesthesiology and Medical Co-Director of the Heart Center Intensive Care Unit. Dr. Shelton completed medical school at the University of California in San Francisco before completing anesthesiology residency and fellowships in critical care and cardiac anesthesiology at MGH. Dr. Shelton is board certified in anesthesiology and critical care medicine. Dr. Shelton’s interests include point-of-care ultrasonography/echocardiography, cardiac critical care medicine, clinical program design/implementation and hospital operations/administration. Dr. Shelton serves as section editor of critical care medicine for the Journal of Cardiothoracic and Vascular Anesthesia and is a dedicated clinical teacher.
