Kazushi Asamura

Masafumi Hirahara received his B. S. and Ph. D. in Earth and Planetary Science from Kyoto University, Japan. He is currently a chief of the division of magnetospheric and ionospheric research in Institute for Space-Earth Environmental Research of Nagoya University. He has been working on the observations of magnetosphere and upper atmosphere of Earth and the other planets in the solar system and their related instrumental developments, particularly for space plasma measurements. His work also includes laboratory experiments to calibrate plasma analyzers and investigate plasma dynamics.
