Katia Kellem da Rosa

KK da Rosa is professor of Geomorphology, and Physical Geography and Remote Sensing of the glacial geomorphology at the Federal University of Rio Grande do Sul (UFRGS). She is coordinator of Glacial Sedimentology and Geomorphology Laboratory in Polar e Climate Center at UFRGS, and is member of the Polar Brazilian National Institute of Science and Technology of the Cryosphere (INCT of the Cryosphere). She has participated in expeditions and investigations of Antarctic and mountain glaciers and ice-marginal environments. She has been coordinating several scientific proposals to investigate the polar environment, and to monitor short-term glacier changes and reconstruct past glacial evolution and teaches and supervises undergraduate and graduate students in Geosciences, Remote Sensing and Geography. She has published over 70 scientific articles about the impact of climate change in glacial environments (glaciers and ice-marginal environments).
