Kathryn Neckerman is a senior research scientist at the CPRC and co-chairs the Urbanism core with Andrew Rundle and Elliott Sclar. She is trained as a sociologist and works with the Built Environment and Health group on studies of urban inequality, neighborhood characteristics, and health. She is also the survey director for the Robin Hood Foundation-funded Poverty Standard Study. With support from the Institute for New Economic Thinking, she is currently examining changing access to rail transit across the US between 1970 and 2010.
