His graduate work is in the area of numerical analysis of vibrational three-dimensional structures. His initial work in the DuPont Polyester Research Laboratory was in the area of fiber reinforced composites and the development and modeling of fiber spinning processes. He then moved to DuPont Central Research and Development, where he worked on molecular modeling, computational chemistry, and diffusion.
