Karen A Kurdziel

I am currently a Physician Researcher in the Molecular Imaging Program (run by Peter L Choyke, MD), Center for Cancer Research, National Cancer Institute, National Institutes of Health My interests involve multiple aspects of the translation of imaging and/or theraputic targeted radioligands to clinical use. In addition to clinical Nuclear Medicine, I have a background in quantitative image analysis, programming, database development and pharmacokinetic modeling (my favorite course in college was Math Physics). I am interested in the development and validation of quantitative targeted radionuclides for imaging and therapy of cancer. Due to health issues I currently work part-time and will be "officially" retiring in the next year but do not plan to stop doing the work I enjoy!
