His research interests focus in the area of tissue engineering and regenerative medicine with emphasis on designing biomaterials to engineer tissue constructs and drug delivery devices. Synthesis clinically-relevant advanced hydrogels to influence stem cell differentiation is the core interest. In addition, he works on environmental remediation using sustainable nanomaterials and technologies.
