1. I have recently been focusing on identification of depression early in adolescence through an IDEA consortium. This study focuses on identification of biological, psychological, social and environmental factors contributing to adolescent depression. It also aims to develop predictive depression risk score and develop interventions to prevent depression. Similarly, it is also testing the feasibility of conducting neurobiological research with adolescents in low resource setting. 2. I am also interested in using data sensing technologies to assess, screen, diagnose and promote mental health and psychosocial wellbeing of people. 3. I have also been focusing on integration of mental health and psychosocial support services into primary health care through WHO mhGAP task-sharing approach.
