Kalyan Kumar Mondal received the degree (Hons.) in physics from Uluberia College, University of Calcutta, Kolkata, India, in 1978, the M.Sc. degree in pure physics from the University of Calcutta in 1980, and the Ph.D. Degree from Jadavpur University, Kolkata, in 1999. He was a Visiting Associate with Inter University Center for Astronomy and Astrophysics (IUCAA) from 2002 to 2005. He is currently a Principal of Sovarani Memorial College Jagatballavpur, Howrah, India. He is actively engaged in doing theoretical research on nonlinear wave propagation in classical, quantum, and relativistic plasmas. Dr. Mondal is a Life Member of Indian Association for the Cultivation of Science (IACS), Jadavpur, Kolkata. He is a member of Plasma Science Society of India (PSSI). He was a member of Indian Statistical Institute (ISI), Kolkata.
