个人简介
I am a Post-Doctoral Researcher at the University of Kansas Medical Center trained in cell and molecular biology. Currently, I am investigating the process of extravillous trophoblast invasion during spiral artery remodeling in hemochorial placentation. To study this process I use both in vitro and in vivo techniques including trophoblast stem cell culture and rat models of placentation. My doctorate work involved the study of primary human endothelial progenitor cells to identify how exposure to maternal diabetes during pregnancy leads to the development of chronic vascular morbidities. I collaborated to develop novel methods for quantifying endothelial progenitor cell vasculogenesis and the identify specific signaling pathways altered as a result of diabetic exposure during development.
