My current research interests are associated with the gender sensitive Disaster Risk Reduction (DRR) in the context of Tsunami Early Warning (TEW). This includes exploring the possibilities of incorporating digital technology interaction into TEW for improving the decision making capacity of men and women. Therefore the title of the PhD thesis is “Internet Enabled Digital Technology in Tsunami Early Warning (TEW); Gender Equity in Perspective". The present research adopted mix method techniques and provide qualitative and quantitative evidence for justifying the ways of making TEW gender sensitive and technologically sound. The research outcome is a framework of strategies for making people centered TEW gender sensitive and technologically sound.
