Xu Zhong

Xu Zhong (S’17) was born in Wuhan, China, in 1994. He received the B.S. degree in electrical engineering from the Huazhong University of Science and Technology, Wuhan, China, in 2016. He is currently working toward the Ph.D. degree in electrical engineering with State Energy Smart Grid (Shanghai) R&D Centre, Shanghai Jiao Tong University, Shanghai, China. From 2015 to 2016, he joined the Advanced Semiconductor, Packaging, and Integration Lab, Huazhong University of Science and Technology, Wuhan, China, and researched on WBG device driver. Since September 2019, he has been a Visiting Scholar with the Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering, University of Alberta, Edmonton, AB, Canada. His research interests include dc grid, applied mathematical modeling, and WBG device high-density applications.
