Julia Moreira Pescarini

I got my degree in Pharmacy in 2010 and my Master's degree in Parasitology at the University of São Paulo (2012). My passion for infectious disease epidemiology and social inequalities push me to a work closer to this field and I obtained my PhD in Public Health at University of São Paulo, having spent some time as a visiting student at LSHTM (2016). After my PhD, I moved to Salvador (Brazil), where I spent near 4 years as a post-doctoral researcher at The Centre for Data and Knowledge Integration for Health (CIDACS) from the Oswaldo Cruz Foundation working on different projects using administrative data linkage to investigate to socioeconomic determinants and the impact of social protection policies on health.
