My interests are in coupled modelling of hydrodynamics and waves; coastal impacts of waves and the effects of climate change; and tidal energy, especially modelling its environmental impacts. Presently I have 2 projects: (1) Climate Change Impact and Adaptation for Small Island Developing States (SIDS), with application to the Caribbean. This involves global, regional and local modelling of waves and sea level in the Caribbean and Saint Vincent, enhancing data availability for SIDS and regional capacity-building and training. (2) Applying Nature-based COastal DEfence in the world's most populous delta - the Pearl River Delta in China. This involves coupled modelling of waves and hydrodynamics with sediment transport and vegetation modelling, studying the re-establishment of mangroves.
