His interest focuses on the research and development of instrumentation of preclinical molecular imaging systems, and analysis of medical images. Recent achievements include a collaboration with the IMI and EFPIA program and the European pharma industry to develop a preclinical imaging system to quantify disease burden in animal models, an HFSP grant to explore new ways to investigate early neurodevelopment using embryo models, a Marie Curie ITN on new, intelligent radiation detectors for scientific and industrial applications.
