I am an ecologist working across scales and disciplines with three main goals: increasing our understanding of the mechanisms that control terrestrial ecosystem structure, functioning and composition, improving our predictive capabilities of the ecological effects of (and responses to) extreme climatic and anthropogenic disturbances, and proposing sound strategies to conserve and restore biodiversity in the face of global changes.
