Matt Jackson

Matt Jackson is an Associate Researcher in the lab of Steven Soper at the Department of Chemistry, University of Kansas. Matt's research bridges analytical chemistry, biomedical engineering, and cancer biology to provide cancer liquid biopsies that translate into routine disease monitoring. Matt is currently working on technologies for extracellular vesicles (exosomes), circulating tumor cells, photocleavable "catch and release" of rare biomarkers, and a novel spectral flow cytometer for rare, low abundant cells. Matt has accrued a diverse skill set ranging from polymer microfabrication, bioconjugate techniques, fluid dynamics, cell culture and analysis, cancer biology, and clinical pilot studies.
