Jose Pedro Sequeira

José Pedro Sequeira holds a degree in Genetics and Biotechnology (2019) by University of Trás-os-Montes and Alto Douro and a Master Degree in Oncology (2021) granted by the School of Medicine & Biomedical Sciences of University of Porto. His Master dissertation was untitled "LiKidMiRS: unveiling the diagnostic potential of liquid biopsy-based circulating microRNAs in renal cell tumors" and was graded 20/20 by the MSc's jury. JP Sequeira is a Research Assistant in the Cancer Biology & Epigenetics Group from the Research Center of Portuguese Oncology Institute of Porto, with a fellowship from Portuguese League Against Cancer - North Delegation with the work entitled "Circulating Long Non-coding RNAs: developing a Liquid Biopsy-based Test for Prostate Cancer Clinical Management". In his curriculum has 10 articles peer-review publications, 2 of them as first author. Moreover, Sequeira is author or co-author of 10 poster presentations and 5 oral communications. JP Sequeira collaborated in 2 events organization and participated in more than 20 events. In addition, he still has 3 awards/distinctions on his curriculum. His present research is focused in circulating epigenetics biomarkers in cancer, namely miRNAs, lncRNAs and DNA methylation-based biomarkers. Nowadays, JP Sequeira is a Biomedical Sciences' PhD Student at School of Medicine & Biomedical Sciences of University of Porto.
