José is a Civil Engineer, specialised in Integrated Water Resource Management under different concepts towards sustainability. Having started working as a researcher, José gained strong data collection and academic information delivery skills. He has much experience in research amongst fields like: hydrology, climate change, water supply and demand and enviromental flows. José had the opportunity to specialise in Integrated Water Resource Management in Australia, where he upskilled his engineering knowledge with social, political and environmental backgrounds. This created on him a hollistic way to solve different issues. Also, José was trained in efficient ways to deliver information to stakeholders, clients and work teams. Currently, José works as a lecturer-researcher at Ikiam University, located in the Amazon Region of Ecuador, where he has developed a passion for education and well-being fostering always the use of the best practices for teaching. His recent research interests are gamification within higher education, blended learning and innovative assessment.
