Jorge I. Velez is Assistant Professor of Data Analytics and Genomics at the Department of Industrial Engineering, Universidad del Norte, Barranquilla, Colombia. His research interests include bioinformatics, population genetics, genetic epidemiology, predictive genomics, applied data analytics and Machine Learning. Since October 2022, Jorge serves as the Scientific Director of the Alzheimer’s disease (AD) SGR study.
