Joonyoung Kim

Joon-Young Kim received a BSc and an MSc in Naval Architecture and Ocean Engineering from Inha University, Incheon, South Korea, in 1989 and 1993, respectively, and a PhD in Precision Mechanical Engineering from Hanyang University, Seoul, South Korea, in 1999. From 2000 to 2002, he was a Full-time Researcher at RIMSE Research Laboratories, Seoul, South Korea, and from 2003 to 2005, he was a Post-doctoral Research Fellow at Univ. of Hawaii and Univ. of Miami. From 2005 to 2011, he was a Professor in Ocean System Engineering, Jeju National University. In 2011, he joined in Ocean Advanced Materials Convergence Engineering, Korea Maritime and Ocean University, Busan, South Korea, where he is currently a Professor. His research interests include Underwater Vehicles and Robots, such as AUV, ROV, UUV, Underwater Gliders, and Underwater Construction Robots.
