The general theme of our research is to use state-of-the art histological approaches to reveal immunological processes in diseased tissues. Focus is on respiratory conditions like asthma, COPD, and airway infections. In particular, we study the link between the nature of tissue inflammation (e.g. compositions and activation status of infiltrating immune cells), symptoms and response to treatment.
