John Lange received the BS, MS, and PhD degrees in computer science as well as the BS degree in computer engineering from Northwestern University. He is an assistant professor in the Department of Computer Science at the University of Pittsburgh. His research specializes in high-performance computing and operating systems, as well as networking, virtualization and distributed systems. His current focus lies in the area of specialized operating systems for supercomputing environments, as well as user-centric data management systems.
