John M Heasman

John M. Heasman received the B.E. degree in electronic and information systems engineering from the University of Sydney, Sydney, Australia, in 1996. He is currently pursuing the Ph.D. degree in biomedical engineering at the University of Sydney. Since 1996, he has been with the Quadriplegic Hand Research Unit, Royal North Shore Hospital (RNSH), Sydney. His research interests include functional electrical stimulation, muscle fatigue, and biomedical applications of signal processing. Mr. Heasman was awarded the graduate student prize for the Best Platform Presentation at the RNSH-UTS Scientific Meeting in Sydney in 1999. He was also awarded the William Padbury Scholarship from the Engineering Faculty of the University of Sydney in 2000.
