Joel Mcduffee

Mr. McDuffee is a risk engineer and project manager specializing in risk assessment and consequence analysis at ABS Consulting. Mr. McDuffee has participated in numerous risk assessments using a variety of methods, including HAZOP analysis, FMEA, functional failure analysis, event tree analysis, fault tree analysis, and consequence analysis. These risk assessments have contributed to basic safety analyses, reliability studies, and risk-based decision making. Clients have included pulp and paper mills, chemical plants, petroleum refineries, offshore facilities, and the U.S. government, including a recent comparative risk assessment for a deepwater oil extraction facility. Mr. McDuffee is an instructor for a I-week course on hazard evaluation using consequence analysis methods. He has presented this course to clients in the chemical, petroleum, and nuclear industries both in the United States and abroad. In addition, he is a coinstructor for ABS Consulting's incident investigation/root cause analysis course.
