He worked on the development of hot electron bolometer mixers, the most sensitive heterodyne receivers for frequencies above 1.5 THz. He is involved in several international collaborations and instrumentation projects, in particular he is end responsible for the detector development for the aforementioned AMKID sub-mm camera. He has co-authored more than 80 scientific papers, of which 3 are Nature family papers.
