João Piteira

João Piteira is a Group Leader of System Engineering Group at INL (Braga, Portugal). Educational Background: Engineering Degree and Master studies in Portugal focused on Electronics and Telecommunications taking the first steps of Integrated Circuit Design and fabrication in Portugal (Digital Gate-array). The semiconductor industrial experience contributed to the development of System Engineering group at INL focusing on taking advanced nanotechnology (MEMS, Spintronics, Optical and Electrochemical sensors) into More than Moore applications within Health, Agri-Food and Environmental areas. Its current interests are in the development of an hybrid fabrication solution that enable the hybrid integration of INL technologies with deep submicron CMOS complete system-on-a-chip solutions (including sensors) for medical and industrial applications. Professional experience: 20 years in the semiconductor industry driving cross-functional R&D teams in designing CMOS ASSP devices (Mixed-signal Analog devices), meeting customer requirements and supporting international Sales and Marketing strategies. Predominantly, in consumer and industrial markets with data converters, power management, and sensor technologies (Analog Front-Ends). Skills: C/C++ programming, Python, Matlab, LabView, IC design tools (SPICE simulation, Cadence and Synopsys tools).
