Joana L. C. Sousa

Joana Sousa graduated in Chemistry at FCUP in 2006. Then, she joined Profs A. Cavaleiro and H. Nogueira’s group (CICECO/UA) as a research fellow and finished her master studies under their guidance in 2009. In 2016, she finished her PhD studies in organic synthesis at QOPNA/UA under the guidance of Prof A. Silva. Now, she holds a researcher position at LAQV-REQUIMTE/UA and her current research interests include the synthesis of C-glycosylated oxygen heterocyclic compounds as epigenetic drugs.
