Joao Sousa Cardoso

Joao Cardoso graduated in Medical Computing and Instrumentation Engineering from the School of Engineering, Polytechnic of Porto, and has a Master’s degree in Medical Physics from the Faculty of Sciences, University of Porto. Later on, he won a research grant at the Polytechnic Institute of Portalegre, regarding the development of multifactorial numerical models applied to predict the performance behaviour of industrial processes. In 2019, Joao Cardoso was awarded with a fully-funded PhD scholarship granted by the Portuguese Foundation for Science and Technology (FCT). Currently, he is enrolled in the PhD programme in Mechanical Engineering at the Instituto Superior Tecnico. Joao Cardoso published nearly 20 book chapters and scientific papers in energy-related high impact factor journals.
