Jill Litt

I am an environmental health scientist by training, and my current work focuses on the ways in which neighborhoods influence health behaviors and how social and psychological processes (e.g., neighborhood attachment, environmental aesthetics, collective efficacy) affect these relationships. I have designed, conducted and led several population-based studies of the built residential environments and their impacts on health behaviors and health status as well as a national study of interorganizational network effectiveness of active living collaboratives. Current funding includes grants through the European Community Horizons 2020 program and the American Cancer Society. I have a dual affiliation with University of Colorado and the Barcelona Global Health Institute
