Jiang Xie

Jiang Xie (Fellow, IEEE) received the B.E. degree in electrical and computer engineering from Tsinghua University, Beijing, China, the M.Phil. degree in electrical and computer engineering from The Hong Kong University of Science and Technology, and the M.S. and Ph.D. degrees in electrical and computer engineering from the Georgia Institute of Technology. She joined the Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering, University of North Carolina at Charlotte (UNC-Charlotte) as an Assistant Professor in August 2004, where she is currently a Full Professor. Her current research interests include resource and mobility management in wireless networks, mobile computing, the Internet of Things, and cloud/edge computing. She received the U.S. National Science Foundation NSF Faculty Early Career Development (CAREER) Award in 2010, the Best Paper Award from IEEE Global Communications Conference in 2017, the Best Paper Award from IEEE/WIC/ACM International Conference on Intelligent Agent Technology in 2010, and the Graduate Teaching Excellence Award from the College of Engineering at UNC-Charlotte in 2007. She is on the editorial boards of IEEE Transactions on Wireless Networking, IEEE Transactions on Sustainable Computing, and Journal of Network and Computer Applications (Elsevier).
