My greatest skill is creating and connecting the dots. Getting ideas, setting up hypothesis, and doing the research to confirm or discard the ideas.
I am a positive and curious person and enjoy working with people and science. This has enabled me to become a research director and I have had the honor to supervise students including 16 PhD students (2 on-going). I have planned and executed more than 20 clinical trials.
My research has resulted in +200 peer-reviewed publications of which +100 are on my favorite molecule suPAR (the omen in the blood) and 12 patents (and 2 pending) of which most are active worldwide. I am the man behind the suPARnostic assay, an assay that detects risk of disease, allowing for early intervention and saving of lives (ViroGates, listed as VIRO on NASDAQ Copenhagen).
