Jerry is an Assistant Professor of Social Work at Ball State University. His research interests are tied to the intersection of social work and sport. In particular, he has a strong interest in exploring the history of athletics and recreation as a social work intervention, social work with collegiate athletes, and youth sport parents. His dissertation research focused upon issues of parent and spectator in youth sports, especially with the advent of Act 355 in the 2019 LA legislature.
