My primary research interests are in improving the personal tailoring of medical decisions, particularly for the primary prevention of cardiovascular disease. My work uses risk prediction and evidence from randomized trials to determine which patients will benefit from established treatments, with the goals of making treatments more efficient and patient-centered. I am also interested in improving the risk prediction tools that are central to effective decision-making. Future work will examine the facilitators and barriers to implementation of more personally tailored recommendations.
