My practice focuses on the personalized treatment of patients who have been diagnosed with benign and malignant conditions of the breast. These include benign breast masses, abnormal breast biopsies (e.g. atypia, LCIS), patients who have an elevated risk of developing breast cancer (e.g. BRCA genetic mutation carriers), ductal carcinoma in situ (DCIS), and invasive breast cancer. I have expertise in the full range of breast surgical oncologic procedures including hidden-scar lumpectomy and nipple-sparing mastectomy. I offer patients with ductal carcinoma in situ (DCIS) the option of new approaches using active surveillance (via cometstudy.org), which can avoid unnecessary surgery.
