Jean-Francais Vigier graduated with his PhD from Lille University in 2011. His work was based on nuclear fuel reprocessing development, both performed in CEA Marcoule and in UCCS laboratories in Lille. He joined in 2012 the nuclear fuel safety unit of JRC Karlsruhe where he worked on different aspect of nuclear fuel synthesis and safety analysis, and particularly on interaction studies between MOXfuel and lead bismuth coolant for MYRRHA reactor development. He works since 2015 in the field of americium fuelled radioisotope power systems, where he focuses on the material development for the production of stable americium ceramics.
