Her research focuses on understanding the biology of leukemia stem cells and developing better treatments and biomarker tools for patients with acute myeloid leukemia. She is also a long-time stamp collector with an interest in medical philately. Her Grand Award-winning thematic exhibit titled “Blood: A Modern Medicine” explores the science and societal impact of blood donation and transfusion.
