I investigate how occupational/environmental exposure to genotoxic air pollutants influences various biomarkers of genomic instability, with focus on telomere length, and future risk of lung cancer, particularly among never-smokers. I examine novel aspects of these interrelationships using my transdisciplinary expertise in epidemiology, environmental/occupational health, and molecular genetics.
