Bio
Jason M. Tucker-Schwartz (S'09) is born in Bethesda, MD. He received the B.Sc. and M.Sc. degrees in biomedical engineering from the University of Virginia, Charlottesville, in 2008 and 2010, respectively. He is currently working toward the Ph.D. degree in biomedical engineering at Vanderbilt University, Nashville, TN.
He has participated in clinical studies at the Heart Institute of the University of São Paulo, São Paulo, Brazil, and at the Fortaleza Hospital Monte Klinikum, Fortaleza, Brazil. His current research interests include the development of the needles, pressure sensors, and software analysis algorithms employed in a novel subxiphoid pericardial access system that is being designed for use in epicardial electrophysiology procedures.
