The hearing sense is an amazing link between mechanics and brain and the biotechnology in the form of the Cochlear Implant allows restoring this sense for people affected by hearing loss or deafness. Although the Cochlear Implant is working, there is still need for improvement e.g. of the nerve-electrode interface.
